Farm Camp is a week-long summer day camp that offers an opportunity to educate children about farm life while forming friendships and developing a love for farming! Campers will experience hands-on fun and have the opportunity to:
- Care for animals - feeding, training and cleaning
- Learn about growing crops - riding hayride to fields examine plants, soil and weeds
- Explore the farm and its environment including creeks and ponds
- Discover the by-products of our many crops - corn, soybeans, pumpkins, apples, cherries, strawberries
- Connect the importance of science to agriculture
- Play - enjoying our fun activities such as our Super Slides, Jumping Pillows, and more
- Make and take fun crafts
Farm Camp is designed for children ages 6 to 12 years of age (at the time of camp).
We will offer four one-week sessions of Farm Camp. Your registration is for one week:
- June 7 - 11, 2021 (registration deadline: May 16)
- June 14 - 18, 2021 (registration deadline: May 23)
- June 21 - 25, 2021 (registration deadline: May 30)
- June 28 - July 2, 2021 (registration deadline: June 6)
All sessions will run from 9 AM to 4 PM. Parents will need to pick up their campers promptly at 4 PM or be charged a late fee of $20 for each 15 minutes late.
Farm Camp costs $250 per child, per week; $225 for additional siblings.
To register your child for Farm Camp, please complete this online registration by clicking the Register tab on this page. By mid-May our Camp Leader will email you the registration forms to be completed prior to Camp.
Farm Camp will begin and end each day in our Admissions area. Campers should bring a sack lunch, water bottle, snack and disposable camera (optional) with them each day. Campers should wear a hat, sensible clothes, sunscreen and closed-toed shoes.
Center Grove Orchard adheres to the ACA policies, procedures, and recommendations regarding COVID-19. We also follow any and all guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH).
